Parliament Session Live Updates: The Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die after it cleared the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address on Tuesday after 18 hours of discussion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address in the Lok Sabha amid ruckus by the Opposition. The Prime Minister thanked the people for reposing their faith in the NDA for a third successive term. The PM also took on the Opposition and accused the Congress of conspiring to defame Hindus. The Prime Minister said that the Opposition should stop trying to appease one leader with a pretense of victory and instead introspect on the reasons for its loss despite joining forces.

The PM also touched upon the issue of paper leaks and said that a strong law has been enforced and tough measures are being discussed to provide a solution to the issue.

Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh said he does “not support the President’s address because of a few issues.”

“The President thanked the Election Commission, but what should we thank them for? For not adhering to the Model Code of Conduct? For not conducting Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir? The recently held Lok Sabha elections were not fair,” Singh said.

“Can we leave the mother of democracy at the mercy of EVMS? When the Resreve Bank’s of India’s servers can be hacked, how can we be sure that the EVMs cannot be hacked? Why is the EC not ready to talk about EVMs,” he asked.

In the Rajya Sabha too, stormy scenes were observed, where Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge led the charge, the opposition clashed with JP Nadda on issues like alleged irregularities in the NEET medical entrance tests and the row over relocation of national leader’s statues within the Parliament complex.
